Liquid Penetrant
Liquid Penetrant examination is used to detect discontinuities that have broken the surface on both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. For example, pin holes in welds, fatigue cracks, or overload and impact fractures. This examination can be done with a visible dye penetrant or with a more sensitive fluorescent penetrant that can be seen with ultraviolet light in a darkened area. This testing has many advantages as penetrant examination is inexpensive and is very portable. Large areas and complex shapes can be easily inspected. This type of examination has very few material limitations and our technicians at Titan Inspection are trained to provide the highest quality service to meet your needs.
